WEEK 1: SIMPLE LOCAL LEAD PLAY (MARKETPLACE + FB GROUPS)

Objective:

Get 2–5 local leads this week using simple posts + follow-up

Step 1 — Facebook Marketplace Post (Do this first)

Title:

[Your Service] — Fast Scheduling Available

(Examples: Landscaping, Concrete, Painting, Roofing, Plumbing, etc.)

Description (copy/paste):

I’m currently booking jobs for [your service].

If you’ve got:
• [common problem 1]
• [common problem 2]
• [common problem 3]

I can take a look and get you a quote.

✔ Reliable
✔ Fair pricing
✔ Fast turnaround

Message me with what you need done and I’ll get back to you.

Photos:

Use:

  • 2–4 real job photos

  • before/after if possible

If you don’t have photos:
👉 use clean equipment/work setup photos

Important:

  • Post in the Services category

  • Set location to your service area

Step 2 — Post in 3–5 Local Facebook Groups

Search for:

  • “[Your City] Residents”

  • “[Your County] Community”

  • “Local Buy/Sell/Trade”

Post this (copy/paste):

Quick question—does anyone need [your service] done?

I’ve got a few open spots this week and looking to fill them.

DO NOT:

  • write a long post

  • over-explain

  • add pricing

Step 3 — Respond like this (important)

When someone comments or messages:

First response:
“Hey, I can take a look at that. What exactly are you needing done?”

Why this works:

  • keeps it simple

  • gets them talking

  • avoids overwhelming them

Step 4 — Move to quote

Once they respond:

Ask:

  • location

  • basic scope

Then say:

“I can come take a look or give you a rough idea based on what you’re describing.”

Step 5 — Follow-up (most people skip this)

If they stop responding:

After 24 hours:
“Hey, just checking back—did you still want help with this?”

After 48 hours:
“No problem if not, just let me know either way.”

Step 6 — Daily check (5–10 minutes)

Each day:

  • Check messages

  • Respond quickly

  • Follow up

  • overthink

  • try new strategies
