Contractor Leads Weekly

Week of 5/11/26

SIMPLE LOCAL VISIBILITY WEEK

This week is focused on one thing:

👉 getting seen locally over and over.

Most contractors disappear when they get busy for a few days, then panic-post when work slows down.

This week’s goal is to stay consistently visible without overcomplicating it.

Objective for This Week

By the end of this week, you should:

  • create 5–10 local conversations

  • get 2–5 estimate opportunities

  • increase local visibility in your area

  • build momentum instead of waiting on referrals

This is not about “going viral.”

This is about becoming visible consistently.

STEP 1 — Make ONE Simple Job Post Per Day

Each day this week:

Post ONE:

  • job photo

  • equipment photo

  • before/after

  • active worksite

  • cleanup photo

DO NOT:

  • make a fancy graphic

  • write a long paragraph

  • over-explain

Simple works better.

Example Post

“Wrapped this one up today in [Your Area].

If anybody needs help with [service], message me.”

That’s enough.

IMPORTANT RULE

Use REAL photos.

Not:

  • stock images

  • logos

  • business cards

  • generic graphics

People trust real work.

STEP 2 — Post in Facebook Marketplace

This week, create or refresh ONE Marketplace listing.

Marketplace is still one of the easiest free lead sources for contractors.

Marketplace Tips

Use:

  • real photos

  • short descriptions

  • your service area

  • simple wording

DO NOT:

  • write a giant sales pitch

  • list 20 services

  • sound desperate

Example Marketplace Description

“Currently scheduling [service] work in [city/area].

Message me if you need help or want a quote.”

Simple.

STEP 3 — Reach Out to 3 Past Customers

This is one of the most overlooked ways to get work.

This week:

Message 3 previous customers.

Not to pressure them.

Just to reconnect.

Example Message

“Hey, hope everything’s been going well. Just wanted to check in and see if you needed anything else done this season.”

That’s it.

Simple.

You’d be surprised how many jobs come from this.

STEP 4 — Yard Sign Strategy

If you are actively working this week:

Put out a yard sign.

Most contractors massively underestimate this.

One visible sign in a good neighborhood can create:

  • calls

  • referrals

  • messages

  • recognition

Yard Sign Tip

DO NOT overcomplicate the sign.

Use:

  • business name

  • service

  • phone number

That’s enough.

Readable beats fancy.

STEP 5 — FAST RESPONSE RULE

This week:

Respond FAST.

A huge amount of contractors lose jobs simply because they respond too slowly.

Even if busy:

Send this:

“Hey, I’m tied up right now but I’ll get back to you shortly.”

That alone puts you ahead of a lot of contractors.

STEP 6 — Daily 10 Minute Follow-Up Block

Every day this week:

Spend 10 minutes doing:

  • follow-ups

  • message replies

  • estimate check-ins

  • quote follow-ups

Most contractors leave money sitting in old conversations.

Simple Follow-Up Example

“Hey, just checking back to see if you still needed help with that.”

That’s all.

Don’t overthink it.

THIS WEEK’S BIG LESSON

Consistency beats intensity.

A few simple actions done every week:

  • posting

  • follow-up

  • visibility

  • Marketplace

  • customer check-ins

…works better long-term than disappearing for months then panic-posting.

DO NOT THIS WEEK

❌ Buy ads immediately
❌ Change strategy every 2 days
❌ Spam groups
❌ Write giant sales posts
❌ Wait for referrals only

EXPECTED RESULTS

Realistically:

  • more conversations

  • more visibility

  • more quote opportunities

  • stronger consistency

This is NOT magic.

This is building momentum.

FINAL INSTRUCTION

Run this exactly for one week.

Do not constantly tweak it.

Most contractors fail because they never stay consistent long enough to build momentum.

Simple works.

Consistency works.

Now go run it.

...and remember, if you have any questions, reach out to me.
