Contractor Leads Weekly

Week 5-18-2026

FOLLOW-UP & VISIBILITY WEEK

This week’s focus is simple:

👉 stop letting old leads die.

A lot of contractors spend all their time chasing brand new customers while completely ignoring:

  • old estimates

  • old messages

  • old conversations

  • previous customers

This week is about reactivating opportunities that already exist while continuing to stay visible locally.

OBJECTIVE FOR THIS WEEK

By the end of this week you should:

  • restart old conversations

  • increase local visibility

  • create more estimate opportunities

  • improve response consistency

  • stay in front of potential customers

This week is NOT about:

  • complicated marketing

  • paid ads

  • rebuilding your business

This is about:
👉 simple consistent action.

STEP 1 — FOLLOW UP WITH 10 OLD LEADS

Go through:

  • text messages

  • Messenger

  • estimates

  • old inquiries

  • missed conversations

Find 10 people who previously contacted you.

Message them.

SIMPLE FOLLOW-UP MESSAGE

“Hey, just checking back to see if you still needed help with that.”

That’s enough.

Do NOT:

  • write a giant paragraph

  • pressure people

  • over-explain

Simple works better.

IMPORTANT

A lot of contractors assume:
👉 “if they wanted it, they would’ve replied.”

That is NOT always true.

People:

  • get busy

  • forget

  • get distracted

  • delay projects

Follow-up brings conversations back to life.

STEP 2 — POST A REAL JOB PHOTO DAILY

This week:
post ONE real photo each day.

Not:

  • logos

  • graphics

  • stock images

Use:

  • active jobs

  • cleanup

  • before/after

  • work in progress

  • equipment on-site

SIMPLE POST EXAMPLE

“Wrapped this one up today in [city].”

That’s enough.

You do NOT need:

  • long captions

  • fancy wording

  • giant sales posts

Consistency matters more.

STEP 3 — RECONNECT WITH 3 PAST CUSTOMERS

Message 3 previous customers this week.

Simple message:

“Hey, hope everything’s been going well. Just checking in to see if you needed anything else done.”

That’s it.

Repeat customers are one of the easiest sources of work.

STEP 4 — FAST RESPONSE RULE

This week:
focus on speed.

A lot of contractors lose jobs simply because:

  • they reply too slowly

  • customers move on

  • someone else answered first

Even if busy:
send a quick response.

Example:

“Hey, I’m tied up right now but I’ll get back to you shortly.”

That alone puts you ahead of many contractors.

STEP 5 — MARKETPLACE REFRESH

This week:
refresh or repost ONE Marketplace listing.

Use:

  • real photos

  • short wording

  • clear service description

DO NOT:

  • stuff keywords

  • write giant paragraphs

  • list every service you offer

Simple works better.

STEP 6 — DAILY 10-MINUTE VISIBILITY BLOCK

Spend 10 minutes every day:

  • responding to messages

  • posting

  • following up

  • checking old conversations

  • staying visible

Small consistent actions stack over time.

THIS WEEK’S BIG LESSON

Most contractors focus only on:
👉 getting NEW leads.

But a LOT of money is sitting inside:

  • old messages

  • old estimates

  • past customers

  • unfinished conversations

Following up is one of the simplest ways to create work.

DO NOT THIS WEEK

❌ Ignore old leads
❌ Wait for referrals only
❌ Spam groups
❌ Overcomplicate your posts
❌ Change strategies every few days

EXPECTED RESULTS

Realistically:

  • more conversations

  • old leads reopening

  • more visibility

  • more estimate opportunities

This is not magic.

This is momentum built through consistency.

FINAL INSTRUCTION

Run this exactly for one week.

Do not overthink it.

Simple consistent action beats random marketing bursts.

Now go run it.
